Garden Maintenance across the Atlantic Seaboard & Southern Suburbs.

Weekly or fortnightly visits, the same small team, a written schedule, and the patience an established garden deserves — week after week.

Established estate garden with mature hedges and mowed lawn

Every property is on a written schedule. The premise is simple: most established gardens don't need landscape design or grand projects — they need someone to show up reliably, prune carefully, and notice the small things before they become big ones.

Service days are scheduled by route, not by random availability, so you know which day of the week your garden is visited.

What's included.

  • Mowing of all lawn areas
  • Edging along beds, paths and driveways
  • Weeding of beds, paths and gravel
  • Pruning of shrubs and trees, including ladder-height work
  • Hedge trimming where needed
  • Leaf and debris clearance
  • Removal of all green waste
  • Visual check of irrigation lines
  • Gutter clearing on request (seasonal)
  • Service log entry on every visit

Battery blowers, always.

Of all garden equipment, the blower is the tool that ends up in every neighbour complaint — the noise that travels furthest, the high-pitched whine that you hear three streets away. So that is the one tool we changed across the fleet. Mowers, trimmers and brush cutters run on petrol; we did not pretend our way to a fully silent service.

What's not included.

  • Large tree felling or rope-access work (quoted separately, done with a certified arborist)
  • Mulch top-ups (quoted by site, usually annually)
  • New planting or landscape redesign
  • Irrigation repairs (we flag faults, separate quote to fix)
  • Pool service (offered as a separate service or bundled — see pool service page)

Pricing guidance.

Every garden is priced individually. Final pricing depends on garden size, complexity, planting density and frequency. A free on-site assessment gives you a written quote within two working days.

Most clients are on weekly visits in summer (October to April) and fortnightly through winter. We quote a fixed monthly figure after seeing the garden — larger estate gardens with mature trees and irrigation naturally cost more than compact ones.

Frequently asked.

How long is a typical garden visit?

A standard Rock House Gardens visit runs 90 minutes to 3 hours depending on garden size, with a small team working in parallel. Estate gardens may be a half-day or full-day.

Do you remove the garden waste?

Yes. All green waste is removed from site at the end of each visit and taken to a registered composting facility. No bonfire piles left behind.

What if I want a once-off cleanup before signing on?

We do once-off cleanups specifically as a way to start a relationship. After the cleanup we'll quote ongoing maintenance separately, no obligation.

Can you handle pruning of mature trees?

Yes. Our team handles routine pruning and hedge work, including ladder-height work on small and medium trees. Large or hazardous tree work — felling, or anything needing rope access — is quoted separately and done with a certified arborist.

Do you clean gutters?

Yes. We clear leaves and debris from gutters and downpipes and check for blockages and overflow points — best done seasonally, especially before the winter rains. It's quoted by property and easily added to a regular garden visit.
