What's included.
- Skimming of surface debris
- Brushing of walls and steps
- Vacuuming (manual or robotic check-up)
- pH, chlorine and stabiliser testing
- Chemical dosing as needed
- Skimmer and weir basket emptying
- Filter pressure check + backwash where required
- Salt-cell inspection on saltwater pools

What's not included.
- Equipment repairs (pumps, salt cells, automated covers — quoted separately)
- Recovery dosing for severely green pools (cost of chemicals billed separately, labour at standard rate)
- Pool resurfacing or construction work
- Pool covers (we open and close existing covers; supply and install is a separate quote)
Pricing.
R250 per visit, all chemicals for normal maintenance included. Most clients are on weekly visits in summer and fortnightly in winter. Monthly cost typically falls between R1,000 and R2,200 depending on schedule. Pool service is usually bundled with garden maintenance — same team, same day, single invoice.
Frequently asked.
Salt or chlorine — does it matter to you?
No. Rock House Gardens services both salt-cell and conventional chlorine pools. Maintenance routine differs slightly but the price doesn't.
Do you supply chemicals?
Yes. Standard pool chemicals are included in the R250 visit fee for normal maintenance volumes. Recovery doses for green or shock-treated pools are billed separately at cost.
What about pool equipment problems?
Pump, filter and salt-cell faults are flagged on the visit log. We can quote repairs ourselves for simple work or coordinate with your existing pool installer.
